Danett Mehlem knew that she was going to have a bad night. As soon as she walked into the restaurant, she could tell that something was wrong. The air was heavy with tension, and the staff seemed to be on edge. Danett had a reservation, but the hostess couldn't find it. After a few minutes of searching, the hostess finally admitted that they had lost her reservation. Danett was frustrated, but she didn't want to make a scene. She told the hostess that it was okay, and she would just wait for a table.
Danett sat down at the bar and ordered a glass of wine. She tried to relax, but she couldn't stop thinking about her reservation. She had been looking forward to this dinner all week, and she didn't want to give up her spot. After a few minutes, the bartender came over to Danett and asked if she was okay. Danett told him about her lost reservation, and the bartender was very sympathetic. He told Danett that he would keep an eye out for a table, and he would let her know as soon as one became available.
Danett waited at the bar for over an hour, but no tables opened up. She was starting to get discouraged, but she didn't want to give up. She had already invested too much time into this night. Finally, after an hour and a half, a table opened up. Danett was so relieved. She thanked the bartender and quickly made her way to the table.
Danett was seated at a table in the back of the restaurant. She was glad to finally be sitting down, but she was still a little bit disappointed. The table was small and cramped, and it was in a dark corner of the restaurant. Danett sighed and picked up the menu. She wasn't really hungry anymore, but she knew that she had to eat something. She ordered a salad and a glass of water.
Danett ate her salad slowly. She wasn't really enjoying it, but she didn't want to waste it. When she was finished, she sat back and sighed. She was still hungry, but she didn't want to order anything else. She just wanted to go home.
Danett got up from her table and walked out of the restaurant. She was disappointed that her night had turned out so badly, but she was also relieved to be leaving. She walked down the street and hailed a cab. When the cab arrived, Danett got in and gave the driver her address. As the cab drove away, Danett looked out the window and watched the city lights. She thought about all the things that had gone wrong that night, but she also thought about all the things that had gone right. She was grateful for the bartender who had been so kind to her, and she was grateful for the cab driver who was taking her home safely. Danett smiled and closed her eyes. She was ready to go home and get a good night's sleep.
When Danett got home, she went straight to bed. She was exhausted, but she was also content. She had had a bad night, but she had also learned a valuable lesson. She had learned that it's okay to be disappointed, but it's not okay to give up. She had also learned that there are always good people in the world, even when you don't expect them.
Danett fell asleep with a smile on her face. She knew that she would have a better day tomorrow.
