Judith I. Selleck is the owner of Selleck Consulting, a sole proprietorship utilizing all of her abilities and accomplished experience in marketing and public relations from her 29 years as Director of Marketing for Heritage Museums & Gardens.
“I have always enjoyed working for the museum. I am one of those people who have been able to merge my passion for marketing with a wonderful career. Now I am excited to offer other nonprofits and businesses the benefit of the decades of experience that I have gained at Heritage,” Selleck said.
Selleck started as a photographer at Heritage in 1982, after leaving the Falmouth Enterprise. She gradually took on a larger role as Director of Public Relations and Group Sales, then later as Director of Marketing. Selleck built the museum’s attendance and revenue share by starting the function business in 1995, and attending tourism and trade shows in both the United States and Europe. Among her many accomplishments was obtaining grant money for the Spectacle of Lights, an outdoor holiday display, and producing a first-ever Heritage Museums & Gardens orientation video, which is shown daily in the Automobile Museum.
Upon retiring from the museum, the Sandwich Chamber of Commerce awarded Selleck the Leo G. Manning Award for ambassadorship in tourism. The chamber board wanted to publicly recognize her outstanding leadership in building both the museum and Sandwich as a destination. Selleck is currently the coordinator of the Sandwich Coalition and marketing consultant for the Thornton Burgess Society, where her expertise has doubled bus tour business in the past year to the museum and nature center named after the author of the "Peter Rabbit" children's books.
Selleck Consulting offers complete services in event planning, public relations, photography and marketing. The company is located in East Falmouth.
