Shane van Gisbergen





Shane van Gisbergen is a New Zealand professional racing driver. He is a three-time Supercars Champion, having won the title in 2016, 2021, and 2022. He currently drives the No. 97 Holden Commodore ZB for Triple Eight Race Engineering in the Repco Supercars Championship.


Van Gisbergen began his racing career in karts at the age of seven. He moved up to cars in 2005, racing in the New Zealand Formula First Championship. He won the championship in 2006 and 2007, and also won the Toyota Racing Series in 2007.


In 2008, van Gisbergen moved to Australia to race in the V8 Supercar Championship. He made his debut at the age of 19, driving for Stone Brothers Racing. He finished eighth in the championship that year, and won his first race in 2009.
