Shaquil Barrett is a force of nature on the football field.
With his incredible athleticism, relentless motor, and an uncanny ability to get to the quarterback, Barrett has become one of the most feared pass rushers in the NFL.
His journey to stardom reads like aHollywood script. A late bloomer who was overlooked by major college programs, Barrett didn't receive a scholarship until he was a walk-on at Nebraska.
But he quickly made his mark, leading the Cornhuskers in sacks in both his junior and senior seasons.Despite his impressive college career, Barrett went undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft. He signed with the Denver Broncos as a free agent and spent two seasons as a reserve pass rusher.
In 2018, Barrett joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and his career took off.
He recorded 15 sacks that season, tied for the third-most in the NFL. In 2021, Barrett was named to his first Pro Bowl and was named the Buccaneers' Defensive Player of the Year. His performance was instrumental in the Buccaneers' victory in Super Bowl LV.
