Caption: This video recording shows a first grade phonics lesson, taught to a large group of students. The lesson begins with a brief introduction to the concept of silent 'e' words and how they transform. Two activities follow the lesson: 1) Large Group Roll, Write, Read and 2) Small Group Teacher Lesson. This month's focus was geared towards reading and literacy.
