Singapore Public Transport Vouchers 2024: Lower-Income Households to Receive $60

Following the fare adjustment in December 2024, the Singapore government has introduced the 2024 Public Transport Vouchers (PTV) scheme as a way to help low-income households cope with the increase in transportation costs.

Each eligible household will receive a PTV worth $60, redeemable for public transport services such as buses, trains, and taxis. This is an increase from the $50 PTVs issued in previous years.

The PTVs are valid until March 31, 2026, giving recipients ample time to utilize them for their transportation needs.

Who is eligible for the PTVs?

To qualify for the PTVs, households must meet the following criteria:

  • Household monthly income of $1,350 or less
  • Household member owns a maximum of one car
  • Household member is not receiving any transport subsidies from other government schemes

How to apply for the PTVs

Eligible households can apply for the PTVs online at the government's website or through their local community center (CC).

The application period runs from January 14, 2025, to October 31, 2025.

Additional support for vulnerable households

In addition to the PTVs, the government is also providing additional support for vulnerable households, including:

  • Enhanced financial assistance for households receiving ComCare assistance
  • Subsidized taxi fares for elderly and disabled passengers
  • Reduced fares for students and national servicemen

These measures aim to ensure that all Singaporeans have access to affordable and reliable public transportation.
