The Philadelphia 76ers will be without five players when they host the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night, including three starters.
The Sixers announced that Joel Embiid (foot), James Harden (foot), Tyrese Maxey (ankle), Furkan Korkmaz (knee), and Georges Niang (foot) will all be out for the game.
Embiid is dealing with a sprained left foot, which he suffered in the Sixers' win over the Toronto Raptors on Monday night. Harden is also dealing with a foot injury, which he suffered in the Sixers' loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday night. Maxey is dealing with a sprained left ankle, which he suffered in the Sixers' win over the New York Knicks on Friday night.
Korkmaz is dealing with a right knee sprain, which he suffered in the Sixers' win over the Miami Heat on Jan. 24. Niang is dealing with a left foot soreness, which he suffered in the Sixers' win over the Washington Wizards on Jan. 22.
The Sixers are already without All-Star guard Ben Simmons, who is out with a back injury. The team is also without Paul Reed and Isaiah Joe, who are both in the NBA's health and safety protocols.
The Sixers are 32-22 this season and are currently in fifth place in the Eastern Conference. The Hawks are 27-27 this season and are currently in eighth place in the Eastern Conference.
The Sixers will be looking to snap a two-game losing streak when they host the Hawks on Wednesday night. The Hawks have won two of the three meetings between the two teams this season.
The Sixers are hoping to get some of their injured players back soon, but for now, they will have to rely on their depth to get through this tough stretch.
The Sixers are still a contender in the Eastern Conference even with their injuries, but they will need to find a way to stay healthy if they want to make a deep playoff run.
