Sky Wellington

Hi Skylar. My name is Ben. My personal twitter handle is @_BenWoodward_

Just over a year ago, I moved to New Zealand. I fell in love with the city of Wellington and started a Twitter and Instagram account called @WhyWellington to celebrate all that's great about this city.

Wellingtonians are very proud of their city and the accounts became popular very quickly. Now, nearly all of the content is submitted by users, not me. There's been over 12,000 tweets in 1 year!

One of the great things about Wellington is the number and frequency of amazing sunrises, sunsets, rainbows and generally awesome activity in the sky over the city. So much so that on some days, those photos dominate the account. Great right? Well, not for everyone. Some people think it's a little too much and there's been a number of suggestions that maybe a seperate account dedicated solely to Wellington's sky activity would be a better idea.

Can you see where I'm heading with this?

I'm sure you've heard the expression, "If you don't ask, you don't get."

I'll cut to the chase. I noticed you haven't tweeted since April last year and it doesn't look like you used your account very much. I'd love to use your @SkyWellington twitter handle.

What can I offer in return? I'm not sure but we could work something out. I don't make any money from maintaining the @WhyWellington accounts. It was never and remains never my intention to. One thing that did pop into my mind was that I could get a personalised book printed for you with the most amazing 'Sky Wellington' photos in it. Matbe you have some ideas too. Let me know.

Anyway, I just thought I would ask and would only want you to allow me to use @SkyWellington if it felt right for you.
