Snow Squalls Ontario forecast

The snow squalls are back, Ontario! And this time, they're bringing a lot of snow with them. Environment Canada has issued a snow squall warning for much of southern and eastern Ontario, including the Greater Toronto Area. The warning is in effect until Saturday morning.
Snow squalls are narrow bands of intense snowfall that can produce whiteout conditions and make travel dangerous. They are often associated with strong winds and can cause power outages.
The snow squalls are expected to start late Thursday night and continue into Friday. The heaviest snowfall is expected to occur in the snowbelt regions of Ontario, including Grey Bruce, Simcoe County, and Muskoka.
Environment Canada is warning that travel could be hazardous during the snow squalls. Motorists are advised to avoid driving if possible. If you must drive, be sure to slow down and increase your following distance.
The snow squalls are expected to taper off by Saturday morning. However, there could still be some lingering snow flurries throughout the day.
So, what can you do to prepare for the snow squalls? Here are a few tips:
* Stock up on food and water in case of power outages.
* Have a battery-powered radio or flashlight on hand.
* Charge your cell phone and other electronic devices.
* If you must drive, be sure to slow down and increase your following distance.
* Avoid driving in unfamiliar areas.
* Be aware of the signs of frostbite and hypothermia.
Stay safe and warm, Ontario!
