I'm sorry, Cameron Archer, but your time has come.
I know, I know. You're only 21 years old. You've got your whole career ahead of you. But you've also shown us that you're not quite ready for the big time.
You've had some great moments this season, don't get me wrong. But you've also had some stinkers. And in a team that's fighting for a top-six finish, you can't afford to have any passengers.
The writing has been on the wall for a few weeks now. You were dropped from the starting lineup a few games ago, and you've struggled to make an impact when you've come on as a substitute.
I understand that this is tough news to hear. But it's the right decision for both you and the team. You need to go out on loan and get some more experience. And the team needs to find a more consistent striker.
I believe in you, Cameron. I think you can be a great player. But you're not there yet. And that's okay.
So for now, it's time to say goodbye. But I have a feeling we'll see you back in the claret and blue soon enough.
In the meantime, all the best for the future.
