Southampton vs Swansea: The Saints March on in the FA Cup
The Saints marched into the fourth round of the FA Cup with a comfortable 3-0 win over Swansea City at St. Mary's Stadium on Sunday.
Kamaldeen Sulemana opened the scoring with a clinical finish in the 20th minute and Tyler Dibling added two more goals, one in each half, to seal the victory.
Southampton dominated the game from start to finish, creating chances at will against a young Swansea side.
Sulemana had a second goal ruled out for offside in the second half, but the Saints didn't need it as they cruised to victory.
The win is a welcome boost for Southampton, who have struggled in the Premier League this season and are currently 19th in the table.
It also gives them a chance to reach the latter stages of the FA Cup, a competition they have not won since 1976.
Swansea, meanwhile, were outclassed on the day but can take heart from the fact that they gave a good account of themselves against a top-flight side.
The Swans are now out of both domestic cups and will need to focus on their Championship campaign, where they are currently 14th in the table.
