Stabbing

So, you've just been stabbed. What now?
1. Don't Panic
I know, easier said than done, but panicking will only make things worse. Take a deep breath and try to stay calm. If you can't calm down, try to focus on something else, like counting to ten or singing a song in your head.
2. Get Help
If you're able to move, try to get to a safe place where you can call for help. If you can't move, try to attract attention by shouting or waving your arms.
3. Stop the Bleeding
If you're bleeding, try to stop it by applying pressure to the wound. You can use a clean cloth, a bandage, or even your hand. If the bleeding doesn't stop after a few minutes, you may need to seek medical attention.
4. Clean the Wound
Once the bleeding has stopped, you'll need to clean the wound to prevent infection. You can use soap and water, or a saline solution. If the wound is deep, you may need to see a doctor to get it stitched up.
5. Get a Tetanus Shot
If you haven't had a tetanus shot in the last five years, you should get one as soon as possible. Tetanus is a serious infection that can be fatal if not treated.
6. Watch for Infection
After you've been stabbed, you'll need to watch for signs of infection. These include redness, swelling, pain, and drainage. If you experience any of these symptoms, you should see a doctor as soon as possible.
7. Take Care of Yourself
Getting stabbed can be a traumatic experience. It's important to take care of yourself both physically and emotionally. Get plenty of rest, eat healthy foods, and talk to someone you trust about what happened.
