Sukanya Gorocitu Takes a Trip of a Lifetime!

"I had always dreamt of traveling the world, seeing different cultures and experiencing new adventures," Sukanya Gorocitu says. "But life just kept getting in the way."
One day, Sukanya decided that she couldn't wait any longer. She quit her job, sold her apartment, and bought a one-way ticket to Thailand. "I was scared, but I was also so excited," she says, "It was the best decision I ever made."
Sukanya spent the next year backpacking through Southeast Asia. She visited temples in Bangkok, trekked through the jungles of Cambodia, and swam with sea turtles in the Philippines. "Every day was a new adventure," she says. "I met amazing people, learned about different cultures and saw some of the most beautiful places on Earth."
One of Sukanya's favorite experiences was volunteering at an elephant sanctuary in Thailand. "I got to feed, bathe and play with these amazing animals," she says. "It was such a rewarding experience."
Sukanya also loved the food in Southeast Asia. "It was so flavorful and spicy," she says. "I ate everything from street food to fancy dinners. I even learned how to cook a few Thai dishes."
After a year of traveling, Sukanya returned home with a newfound appreciation for the world. "I realized that there is so much more to life than just working and paying bills," she says. "I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have experienced different cultures and seen the world."
Sukanya is now back home in the United States, but she says that her travels have changed her forever. "I'm more open-minded, more adventurous and more appreciative of the world around me," she says. "I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have experienced different cultures and seen the world."
Sukanya is now planning her next trip. She's not sure where she'll go, but she knows that she'll be back on the road soon. "I'm hooked on travel," she says. "There's nothing like the feeling of being in a new place, meeting new people and having new experiences."
Here are some of Sukanya's tips for planning a trip of a lifetime:
* Start small: If you're new to travel, don't try to do too much all at once. Start with a short trip to a nearby country. This will help you get your feet wet and learn the basics of travel.
* Be flexible: Things don't always go according to plan when you're traveling. Be prepared to change your itinerary if necessary.
* Go with the flow: Don't be afraid to let go and embrace the unknown. Some of the best travel experiences happen when you least expect them.
* Be open-minded: Try new things, meet new people and learn about different cultures.
* Have fun: Travel is all about having fun. So relax, enjoy yourself and make some memories that will last a lifetime.

A year later, Sukanya is still traveling. She's been to over 30 countries and she's not showing any signs of stopping. "I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have experienced different cultures and seen the world," she says. "I'm living my dream."
