Sydney church stabbing: 'People were screaming and crying'

I was in the middle of a Sunday service when I heard a commotion coming from the back of the church. People were screaming and crying, and I could hear someone shouting, "He's got a knife!"

I looked up and saw a man standing in the aisle, holding a large knife. He was waving it around and shouting threats. I was terrified, and I didn't know what to do.

Suddenly, one of the church elders ran towards the man and tackled him to the ground. Other elders quickly joined in, and they were able to subdue him. The police were called, and the man was taken into custody.

I'm so grateful that the elders were able to stop the man before he could hurt anyone else. I'm also grateful for the police, who arrived quickly and took the man into custody.

This was a terrifying experience, but I'm so grateful that no one was seriously injured. I'm also grateful for the courage of the elders, who put themselves in harm's way to protect others.

In the aftermath of the attack, I've been thinking a lot about the importance of community. I'm so grateful for the people in my church, who supported me and helped me through this difficult time.

I'm also grateful for the police, who did an amazing job of responding to the attack. They put themselves in harm's way to keep us safe, and I'm so grateful for their service.

This was a terrifying experience, but it also showed me the importance of community and the courage of the people who serve it.

I'm so grateful that no one was seriously injured, and I'm so grateful for the people who helped to keep us safe.
