She has made India proud on the international stage. Her name is Tania Sachdev. She is one of the most famous and successful chess players in India. She has achieved this position through her hard work and dedication to chess. Tania Sachdev, 35, has been playing chess since she was six years old. She learned to play chess from her father. Chess Career
At the age of just 14, she became the youngest Indian woman to win the National Women's Chess Championship. She has won this title five times so far. She is the only Indian woman to have won this title so many times. In 2005, she became the eighth Indian woman to win the title of Woman Grandmaster. In 2008, she became the second Indian woman to win the title of International Master. She has also won many medals at the Asian and Commonwealth Games.
