How Climate Change Has Effected China
If the temperature in China continues to rise at the rate it has been over the years then its not looking good for the Chinese future anf here is why:
-
Between 1908 and 2007 the earth's surface temperature has risen by 1.1 degrees celcius.
-
China experienced 21 warm winters during that century.
-
Because of this bad enviroment, China has terrible air pollution, as shown below.
-
Climate change in China is affecting agricultural production through many ways: changes in temperature, water availability, soil condition, extreme weathers, crop diseases, and pest outbreaks. Data shows, with temperature rise, loss of arable land and water will decrease China’s overall food production by up to 23 percent by 2050. (shown above in the middle)
-
In June of 2004 there was a massive flood at the Yi’ong Zangbo that destroyed 10 bridges, 50 miles of highway, and hundreds of homes. (shown in the third picture)
In my opinon, if people do not start working on fixing the problem now it will only get worse. If you're country is at the point where you have to wear masks because the air pollution is that bad. China has a lot of responsibiliy, many countries rely on China because it accounts for sixteen percent of world output but consumes between forty and fifty percent of the world’s coal, copper, steel, nicker, aluminum and zinc. We need to stop taking advantage of the earth because it won’t be here forever if we don’t start taking care of it.
