Thaxter Bibian: The Day He Thought He Could Beat Time Itself

It was a bright and sunny Tuesday morning. Thaxter Bibian woke up feeling refreshed and full of energy. He had a spring in his step as he got ready for work. As he was walking to the bus stop, he noticed a group of children playing in the street. They were having so much fun, and Thaxter couldn't help but smile. He thought to himself, "I wish I could be a kid again."
As he got on the bus, Thaxter couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia. He remembered being a child and riding the bus to school. He would always look out the window and watch the world go by. He would dream of all the adventures he would have when he grew up.
As Thaxter Bibian sat on the bus, he couldn't help but think about how much his life had changed since he was a child. He had a good job, a loving wife, and two beautiful children. But he couldn't help but feel like something was missing. He longed for the days when he could play outside all day and not have a care in the world.
As Thaxter got off the bus, he noticed a group of people standing around a broken-down car. He walked over to see if he could help. As he got closer, he realized that the car was his own.
Thaxter couldn't believe his eyes. His car was completely totaled. He had no idea what he was going to do. He needed his car to get to work, and he didn't have the money to buy a new one.
As Thaxter stood there staring at his ruined car, he felt a wave of sadness wash over him. All of his dreams and aspirations seemed to come crashing down around him. He felt like his whole life was over.
Just when Thaxter was about to give up hope, he heard a voice.
"Excuse me, sir," the voice said. "Are you Thaxter Bibian?"
Thaxter turned around and saw a young woman standing there. She was holding a clipboard and a pen.
"Yes," Thaxter said. "That's me."
"I'm from the insurance company," the woman said. "I'm here to help you with your claim."
Thaxter was surprised. He didn't know that he had insurance.
"I don't think I have insurance," Thaxter said.
"Yes, you do," the woman said. "Your wife signed you up for a policy last year."
Thaxter was relieved. He was so glad that he didn't have to pay for the repairs out of his own pocket.
"Thank you," Thaxter said. "I'm so glad that I have insurance."
The woman smiled and handed Thaxter a check. "You're welcome," she said. "I'm just glad that I could help."
Thaxter took the check and walked away. He couldn't believe his luck. He had just lost his car, but he had also gained a new lease on life. He realized that he could beat time itself. He could still have the adventures he had always dreamed of.
As Thaxter walked down the street, he saw a group of children playing in the street. He stopped to watch them for a while. He smiled and thought to himself, "I'm not a kid anymore, but I can still dream".
Thaxter continued on his way, feeling happy and hopeful. He knew that he could still have the life he had always wanted. He just had to believe in himself.
