The Africa Cup of Nations aka the CAT

The qualifying competition is played in a round-robin format, with the top teams in each group advancing to the finals. The finals are played in a single-elimination format, with the winner crowned the champion of Africa.
The Africa Cup of Nations is one of the most competitive international football tournaments in the world. The tournament has been won by some legendary players, such as Roger Milla, Abedi Pele, George Weah, Didier Drogba and Samuel Eto'o.
The most successful team in the history of the tournament is Egypt, which has won the title seven times. Cameroon is second with five titles, while Ghana and Nigeria have won the tournament four times each.
