The Franklins: Cash or Candy?

When it comes to Halloween, there are two types of houses: those that give out candy and those that give out cash.

As a kid, I was always drawn to the houses that gave out cash. I would spend hours planning my route, hitting up all the houses that were rumored to be the most generous. I remember one year, I made over $50! That was a lot of money for a kid in the 1980s.

As I got older, I started to appreciate the houses that gave out candy. Candy is, after all, the traditional Halloween treat. And there's something magical about getting a big bag of candy and digging into it on the way home. Plus, candy is a lot easier to carry than cash.

So, which is better: cash or candy?

It really depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for a quick and easy way to get some extra money, then cash is the way to go. But if you're looking for a more traditional Halloween experience, then candy is the better choice.

Personally, I'm a fan of both cash and candy. I love getting a mix of both. That way, I can have my spooky Halloween treat and my cash too.

So, what's my advice for trick-or-treaters? Hit up the houses that give out cash, but don't forget to stop at the houses that give out candy too. You never know what you might get.

And to all the parents out there, remember to keep your Halloween treats safe from those pesky goblins and ghouls! Happy Halloween!
