The Golden Globe Nominations

The Golden Globe nominations are out, and there are some surprises in store. Here are some of the biggest takeaways from the list:

• The Banshees of Inisherin leads the pack with eight nominations, including Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy.
• Everything Everywhere All at Once is close behind with six nominations, including Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy and Best Director for Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert.
• The Fabelmans is also in the running for Best Motion Picture - Drama, along with TÁR and Women Talking.
• Austin Butler is nominated for Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama for his performance in Elvis, while Cate Blanchett is up for Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama for her role in TÁR.
• Michelle Yeoh is nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy for her performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once, while Colin Farrell is up for Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy for his role in The Banshees of Inisherin.
