The New Toy

The New Toy is a comedy film released in 2022 and directed by James Huth. It stars Jamel Debbouze and Daniel Auteuil.
The film tells the story of Samy, a man who lives a simple life in a poor neighborhood with his wife and friends. One day, he is offered a job as a night watchman at a luxury goods store owned by Philippe Etienne, the richest man in France. Samy reluctantly accepts the job, and Philippe, who has become cold and cruel since the death of his wife, decides to open the store to his spoiled son Alexandre, telling him to choose whatever he wants as his new toy.
Alexandre chooses Samy, and the two form an unlikely bond. Samy teaches Alexandre about the value of friendship and family, while Alexandre shows Samy the world of luxury and wealth.
