From quips to chuckles, Pope Francis has proven to be a master of the unexpected, breaking the mold of tradition with his playful spirit.
In a memorable incident, the Pope received a parrot as a gift. As the bird greeted him with a cheerful "Ciao, Papa!" the Pope burst into laughter, replying, "Ciao, Pappagallo!" (Hello, Parrot!)
He once joked about the long line of people waiting for confession, saying, "If you're going to spend hours in line, you might as well bring a croissant with you!"
When asked if he considers himself a humble person, the Pope quipped, "Well, if I think I'm humble, then I'm not. If I think I'm not, then I am. So, I'm a bit of a horse!"
"God loves being surprised. He loves it when we go beyond our expectations and do something extraordinary. That's when we discover our true potential," the Pope has said, encouraging us to embrace the unexpected and find the humor in life.
During one of his homilies, the Pope jokingly warned, "If you get bored in church, you'll be bored in heaven. So, laugh a little, it'll help you get through the sermon!"
