Last night at 2 am, in the freezing cold, I was standing outside a laundromat. I was waiting for my clothes to dry, and I was bored out of my mind. I had nothing to do but scroll through my phone, but I was too cold to even hold it. I was about to give up and go home when I saw something out of the corner of my eye.
It was a cat. A small, black cat with big, green eyes. It was sitting on the curb, and it was shivering.
I walked over to the cat, and it meowed at me. I picked it up, and it curled up in my arms. I could feel it trembling.
I took the cat inside the laundromat and sat down on a bench. I held the cat close to me, and it slowly stopped shivering.
I looked down at the cat, and I could see that it was scared. I didn't know what to do, so I just sat there and held it.
After a while, the cat started to relax. It purred, and it rubbed its head against my hand.
I sat there with the cat for a long time. We didn't talk, but we didn't need to. We just sat there, and we were both content.
Finally, my clothes were dry. I picked up the cat and carried it outside.
I put the cat down on the curb, and it looked up at me. I could see that it was no longer scared.
I smiled at the cat, and I turned to go. But then, the cat reached out its paw and touched my leg.
I looked down at the cat, and I saw that it was looking at me with its big, green eyes.
I knew that the cat was asking me to take it home with me.
I didn't even have to think about it. I picked up the cat and held it close to me.
I took the cat home, and it has been with me ever since.
