Malik, thanks for taking the time to talk to us. Can you tell us a little bit about your background?

I grew up in North Philadelphia. Boxing was always a part of my life. My father was a boxer, and I started training when I was just a kid.

I had my first professional fight when I was 19 years old. I went on to have a successful career, fighting some of the best in the world.

You've faced some tough opponents in your career. What's the secret to overcoming adversity?

It's all about mindset. You have to believe in yourself and never give up. There will be times when you get knocked down, but you have to get back up and keep fighting.

What's the most important lesson you've learned from boxing?

Boxing has taught me a lot about discipline, hard work, and perseverance. It's also taught me the importance of giving back.

You're now retired from boxing. What are you up to these days?

I'm still very involved in the sport. I work as a trainer and a commentator. I also run a foundation that helps young people in my community.

What's your advice to young people who want to succeed in life?

Set goals and work hard to achieve them. Never let anyone tell you that you can't do something. Believe in yourself and never give up on your dreams.
