And just like the Oscars, the Tidy Towns results are always hotly anticipated. This year, the big winner was Westport. A big congratulations to them!
I was particularly impressed by Westport's focus on sustainability. They have a number of initiatives in place to reduce their carbon footprint, such as a community garden, a composting program, and a ban on single-use plastics.
I also loved their focus on community involvement. They have a number of community events throughout the year, such as a farmers' market, a music festival, and a Christmas market.
Congratulations again to Westport! And to all the other towns and villages that participated in the competition. You all make Ireland a more beautiful place to live.
I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the Tidy Towns results. Do you agree with the judges' decisions? What do you think makes a town or village a great place to live?
