Tornado warning

Last night I was sleeping deeply when I heard an alert on my phone. It was a tornado warning. A tornado was approaching my town, and I needed to take shelter immediately.
I jumped out of bed and ran to the basement. As I descended the stairs, I could hear the wind howling outside. It sounded like a freight train, and I knew that it was only going to get worse.
I huddled in a corner of the basement with my family, and we waited. The tornado passed over our house, and we could feel the pressure change as it did. The house shook, and the lights flickered.

After a few minutes, the tornado passed, and we were able to come out of the basement. We were all safe, but our town was not. The tornado had caused a lot of damage, and several homes had been destroyed.

I am so grateful that my family and I are safe. We were lucky this time, but I know that not everyone was as fortunate. Tornados are a powerful and destructive force of nature, and it is important to be prepared for them.

If you live in an area that is prone to tornadoes, make sure that you have a plan in place for what you will do if a tornado warning is issued. Know where your safe place is, and make sure that you have a way to get there quickly.
