Alex Gauer, Lance Frogner named to state novice baseball all-competition group 

MITCHELL — Alex Gauer of the Castlewood Ravens, a pickup player for the Brookings Cubs, and Lance Frogner of the Milbank Firechiefs have been named to the all-competition groups from the as of late finished 89th South Dakota State Amateur Baseball Tournament. 

Gauer procured Class An all-competition respects subsequent to winning the division's batting title by hitting .571 (8-for-14). 

Frogner procured Class B all-competition respects. He went 4-for-7 (.571 normal) with two pairs. 

Other all-competition honorees are: 

• Class A — MVP Ben Ihrke, Ryan Hander and Tyler Blackburn of the boss Renner Monarchs; Charlie Dubanoski, Ian Strum and Jeremiah Mauch of the Harrisburg Hops; Alejandro Cortina and Tyler Sandbulte of the Baltic River Dawgs; Sam McMacken of Brookings; Ryan Ellingson of Aberdeen Circus Sports Bar and Jesse Kurtenbach of the Black Hills A's. 

• Class B — Co-MVPs Kris Regas and Dalton Lehnen, Mark Abrahamson and Chad Hunt of the top dog Dell Rapids Mudcats; batting champion Drew DeMers and Bret Severtson of the Flandreau Cardinals; Austin Calhoun and Dillon Lambley of the Winner-Colome Pheasants; Josh Engquist and Cole Knippling of the Plankinton F&M Bankers; Cody Grotewold of the Larchwood (Iowa) Diamonds; Zak Wallner of the Kimball-White Lake Nationals; Tanner Van Driel of the Lesterville Broncs; Jackson Sudbeck of the Wynot (Neb.) Expos; Macon Oplinger of the Menno Mad Frogs; Jed Schmidt of the Alexandria Angels and Phil Johnson of the Dimock-Emery Raptors.
