Howard U. Journo Scholarship Honors Late Alum Terez Paylor 사설토토
Howard University this fall will present a news-casting grant made recently out of appreciation for late sportswriter Terez A. Paylor, a Howard alum.
The grant, made in February by The Wall Street Journal, Yahoo! Sports and The Kansas City Star, will be granted to understudies studying news coverage with an accentuation in sports news-casting and conveying no less than a 3.0 GPA.
"We can't think about a superior method to recognize, honor, and concrete Terez's heritage and commitments as a games writer than building up this grant in his name at HU," Paylor's folks, Sharmyn Elliott and Ava Paylor-Elliott, said in a college gave proclamation. "By righteousness of this grant, it is our expectation that our child's inheritance will live on and motivate future dark games writers to utilize the steadiness and tirelessness Terez exemplified."
Paylor, a Detroit local who graduated magna cum laude from Howard University in May 2006 with a four year college education on paper news coverage, passed on in February at age 37.
Paylor's life partner, Ebony Reed, has brought more than $100,000 up in under a half year for a supplied grant in his honor, Howard declared.
"Terez was an extraordinary writer whose enthusiasm for football made him a regarded voice," Reed said. "His tradition of phenomenal detailing with a human touch, profound information on football and being known as somebody who consistently had the opportunity to help a companion or proposition mentorship will presently affect people in the future, as well."
