When Serena Williams won the 1999 U.S. Open for her most memorable Grand Slam title at age 17, she wore white dots in her hair. On Monday night, when Williams dominated her most memorable game of the 2022 U.S. Open at age 40, her little girl, Olympia, was courtside, wearing a hairdo giving recognition to Mom's from all that time prior.

"It was either her wear globules or me, so ..." Williams said subsequent to beating Danka Kovinic 6-3, 6-3, completing that idea with a grin. "I needed to make it happen, yet I simply lacked opportunity and energy."

Williams was pregnant with Olympia while playing in, and winning, the 2017 Australian Open for her 23rd Grand Slam title. Olympia was conceived sometime thereafter and turns 5 on Thursday.

"No doubt, she enjoys, really, wearing them. She requests to wear globules a ton," Williams said. "It really wasn't my thought, however I was so blissful when she had them on. It's ideal on her."

On Monday, Olympia sat in Williams' player visitor confine Arthur Ashe Stadium, at one point snapping pictures with a camera. She was with her dad — Williams' better half, Reddit prime supporter Alexis Ohanian — and her grandma — Williams' mother, Oracene Price.

After the match, Williams' long and persuasive profession was praised during an on-court function that incorporated a video described by Oprah Winfrey and a discourse from Billie Jean King. Toward the end, Ohanian conveyed Olympia down on to the court.
