MORRISVILLE - Last week, I shared how energized I was about Morrisville's rise as the Cricket Capital of the United States as we facilitated the Minor League Cricket Championships. It was great to see Wake County Commission Chair Sig Hutchison, and Vice Chair Shinica Thomas at the Championship game. Scott Dupree of the Greater Raleigh Sports Alliance reminded me at the Saturday matches, of the capability of remarkable development of the travel industry dollars and positive financial development. He and his associates keep on being amped up for the fate of Cricket in the area.
Last Sunday night, under the lights of Church Street Park and with a pressed group in participation, everyone's eyes around the nation and world saw the live stream on Willow TV (and other streaming organizations) of the exhilarating title game between the Seattle Thunderbolts and the Atlanta Fire. After an extremely thrilling match, the Seattle Thunderbolts won with a resonating triumph and a Minor League National Championship.
During close to home comments, Captain Harmeet Singh, helped all to remember us in participation at the Awards Presentation, that he was so enlivened to come out on top for a title with colleagues from around the world, who share one normal love and enthusiasm, the sport of cricket. His comments drove me to reflect, on how Morrisville's cricket change is likewise the consequence of foreigners from everywhere the world carrying this worldwide game to the district, and what a wonderful excursion our cricket change has been. During these frequently troublesome and violent times, our Cricket process mirrors that we can celebrate both variety and solidarity through sports alongside seeing the best of American Democracy work in our All American City.
