Series history: Stanford leads 59-26-3, its second-most wins over any adversary (65 versus Cal). Oregon State snapped a 11-game long string of failures in the series with a 35-14 win last year in Corvallis.

Storylines: The two groups are winless in meeting play yet have played that large number of games against positioned rivals. Oregon State essentially has prevails upon Fresno State and Boise State, while Stanford hasn't overtaken a FBS group in over a year (10 straight), the longest streak in the country.
