On Sept. 8, Mayor Bill Hastings, city head Byron Hebert and individuals from Katy city committee accumulated at the foundation of the water pinnacle to praise the artwork of the two Lady Tigers Softball crews' names on the pinnacle.
After each triumphant title, the Katy football crew fund-raised to have the group's year added, said Katy city board part Chris Harris.
While it was never custom to add other winning groups to the water tower, city authorities told guardians of the softball players that they, as well, could have their names on the water tower on the off chance that they collected the cash too.
