French Period Drama 'Red' To Open Cannes Directors' Fortnight 사설토토
Red, a French-language period show from Italian chief Pietro Marcello (Martin Eden), will be the premiere night movie for the 54th release of Cannes' Directors' Fortnight area. It will start off the 2022 film celebration sidebar May 18.
Set in Normandy, Northern France, between the two World Wars, Scarlet follows a young lady, a bereaved conflict veteran, being raised by her dad and battling to track down her own way throughout everyday life. It includes a cast of French stars, including Juliette Jouan, Raphaël Thierry, Louis Garrel and Noémie Lvovsky.

Marcello is notable for his Italian period pieces, most as of late Martin Eden, adjusted from the Jack London novel, which won the best entertainer honor for star Luca Marinelli at the 2019 Venice Film Festival.
