As four of the NFL's top wide collectors look for long haul gets, their groups don't seem keen on taking part in exchange talks at the present time.
Per The Athletic's Jeff Howe, the San Francisco 49ers (Deebo Samuel), Tennessee Titans (A.J. Brown), Seattle Seahawks (DK Metcalf) and Washington Commanders (Terry McLaurin) "have forgotten about all requests for their star collectors" this offseason.
Howe noticed that every one of the four recipients are supposed to skirt their group's intentional offseason exercises that start this week with an end goal to "make some criticalness with those exchanges by avoiding the offices or possibly keeping away from the exercises."
The four wideouts, all chose in the 2019 NFL draft, have one year excess on their new kid on the block contracts. It's muddled what every player is looking for in another arrangement.
One entangling factor for the groups assuming that they seek after expansions with their beneficiaries is the huge ascent in agreements for players at the position this offseason.
Christian Kirk's four-year manage the Jacksonville Jaguars worth up to $84 million in free organization got many individuals off guard, Brown and Samuel.
Davante Adams marked a five-year, $141.25 million agreement with the Las Vegas Raiders in the wake of being obtained in an exchange with the Green Bay Packers.
Tyreek Hill was exchanged by the Kansas City Chiefs to the Miami Dolphins since he needed an agreement that surpassed the arrangement Adams got from the Raiders, per NFL.Com's Jeffri Chadiha. Slope marked a four-year, $120 million expansion with Miami after the exchange.
Stefon Diggs got a four-year, $104 million augmentation with the Buffalo Bills recently.
Per Spotrac, Adams and Hill rank first and second in absolute agreement esteem among wide recipients; Diggs positions fifth. Slope, Adams and Diggs rank in the main four in normal yearly compensation among wide recipients. DeAndre Hopkins positions third in normal compensation ($27.25 million).
Per ESPN's Dianna Russini, Brown and the Titans are "pursuing an expansion" that will save him with the group for quite a while.
Star Football Talk's Tony Pauline announced last week that Samuel needs an arrangement "in the scope of about $25 million every year."
There's no rejecting that Samuel, Brown, Metcalf and McLaurin are vital for what their groups need to do on offense. They have consolidated for six 1,000-yard seasons and three Pro Bowl appearances.
