New Champions Emerge As Top Spellers At Literacy Center Bee

The words were precarious and the opposition solid, yet eventually, one group remained on top.
The BEEtles took on the position of top spellers during The Literacy Center's 25th yearly Mountain Spelling Bee Bash, held Saturday night at the High Country Conference Center in Flagstaff. The group unseated the Coconino Community College Comets as champions. In excess of 170 individuals went to the mark raising support occasion, which makes its return following a two-year break on account of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Master of Ceremonies was Becky Daggett, previous Flagstaff City Councilmember and current mayoral applicant. The pronouncer was, just like the custom, Dr. Mary McGroarty, NAU teacher emerita.
