Beyond a couple of free adjusts (a 78 at the Players and a 77 at the Genesis) Gooch has been a machine this year, posting 11 top-25 completions. A 38 on the back Thursday sunk Gooch, who bounced back with a strong 68. He actually could be an awe-inspiring phenomenon one week from now in his home province of Oklahoma.
