Swimming Canada Board Names Mary C. Lyne President
Lyne, a Chief Administrative Officer at the University of Toronto, was picked by her kindred chiefs to fill in as president following the association's yearly regular gathering.
Lyne, who joined the board in 2018, had been filling in as VP since June, when then, at that point President Cheryl Gibson ventured down to accept her new job addressing Aquatics Canada on the FINA Bureau. Dignitary Crawford, who had been an individual from the board starting around 2013, filled in as president from June until last month's AGM.
"I'm respected to be chosen as leader of Swimming Canada and anticipate working with the association, and our outside partners across Canada and universally," Lyne said. "Swimming Canada is setting out on its new Strategic Plan 2021-2028, and the board will use its abilities and experience to give direction and exhortation."
Lyne has filled in as Chair of the board's Sport Development Committee and as an individual from the Audit, Finance and Risk Committee. She was reappointed to another three-year term at the latest AGM.
Lyne has been with the University of Toronto starting around 2011, and in her present situation beginning around 2015, giving initiative on technique, monetary and financial plan arranging, HR, administration, foundation, legitimate and hazard. Before her time at U of T she was a regulatory chief at Mount Sinai Hospital from 2006 to 2011, and went through over 10 years in the distributing business.
She has been associated with the game since the age of 12 years of age, as an age gathering and afterward senior public, and college swimmer. With two of her youngsters having been associated with the game, she keeps on administering at rivalries, and support public, junior and commonplace swimmers and groups.

Balancing the chief of the nine-man board are Vice-President Mike Dungate, and Secretary Peter Szmidt. Dungate, who joined the board in 2019, went through over 20 years as chief overseer of Chicken Farmers of Canada, a public accomplice of Swimming Canada beginning around 2012. Szmidt, an individual from two Canadian Olympic groups and previous world record holder who exhibited his ability in business the executives and meeting with Imperial Oil for quite a long time, was first chosen for the load up in 2016.
