Clergyman of Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare, has reclaimed his monetary vow to Nigeria's competitors to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, The PUNCH has learnt. 

Dare had vowed to monetarily remunerate the Paralympics competitors who dominated at the Games in Tokyo. 

Nigeria included 22 competitors in four occasions at the Games. 

Our reporter discovered that the competitors who won gold were compensated with $10,000 each, while the people who won silver and bronze awards got $8,000 and $7,000 individually. 

"The competitors have been getting the assets guaranteed them by the clergyman and I'm informed that the gold medallists got $10,000," a top service official told The PUNCH. 

Nigeria won a sum of 10 decorations – four gold, one silver and five bronze awards at the Games. 

Group Nigeria commander at the Games Lucy Ejike likewise affirmed that they had been paid. 

"I can affirm that the games serve Sunday Dare has satisfied his guarantee to the competitors to the Tokyo Paralympics," Ejike, who won bronze in ladies' powerlifting, said.

The competitors participated in powerlifting, para-sports, para-table tennis and para-paddling in Tokyo.
