Century Girls Lacrosse Avenges Last Year's Loss By Beating Middletown, 19-8, To Advance To 2A State Final 사설토토
It's been over 11 months since Century had its 2021 season end in disaster, when the Knights had their state title dreams ran in a state elimination round misfortune to Middletown. Since that day, Century has sat tight for an opportunity at retribution.
Saturday was that day. Back in the Class 2A state elimination rounds, Middletown by and by in the middle among Century and the state title game. Same game, same rival, different result.

Century took control early and never let up, moving to a 19-8 triumph at Wheaton High School to progress to the state last, where it will confront Hereford on Wednesday at 4 p.M. At Loyola Maryland's Ridley Athletic Complex.

"As a senior, it dependably we've longed for," Century's Caroline Little said. "I realize each and every senior in this group needs a state title. These young ladies, the underclassmen, youngsters, they believe we should win it and they have that equivalent drive and heart as we do."

Little drove Century with six objectives, while Jasmine Stanton and Anna Hackett each scored four. Lauren Hackett, who had three helps, Holly Poe and Sydney Brown each additional counts.
Stanton is one of those youngsters who's investing her whole energy into assisting the program with coming out on top for a state championship.

"I believe it's truly astonishing we can get around here, same group as last year and we overcome that little challenge," she said. "It's great we got to get through and play through the intensity and the weariness and push one another and leave everything out there."
Said Century mentor Becky Groves: "I'm super pleased with them since I feel like we played a total game today and they upheld one another. What I said before the game is, everyone needs to satisfy their job. They did that. Everyone brought their job, which makes us a group."
Century gave up the principal objective Saturday to Middletown's Ellery Bowman. Be that as it may, 2 minutes, after 23 seconds, Century held a 4-1 lead.
"We were on a decent run," Stanton, who had one of her four objectives in that spray, said. "We're running quick moving, making decent passes, checking every one of the pleasant removes. I believe the energy made all the difference for us."
An early defining moment came rapidly. Middletown got inside one at 4-3, was a man-up and had a free position an open door to tie the game. However, goalie Becca Mullinix thought of the save and Century hustled down to the opposite end as Jane Brewer got done with an objective. That began a 5-1 Century rush to end the half.
