"I've heard Lamar Jackson say he needs to win Super Bowls, he needs to win a lot of Super Bowls," Simms shared with Mike Florio. "I think there was a period where he was like, I need to be like Brady. I recollect him saying that previous in his profession. All things considered, Brady wouldn't be missing OTAs in that frame of mind of his profession. That is the very thing I need to tell a portion of these youthful quarterbacks.
"I hear, I need to be like Brady, I need to have a lifelong like Brady," Simms proceeded. "Well then do what Brady does! Brady didn't miss an OTA until he had played in four Super Bowls and, you know, began to kick wedded and afterward off to miss a couple of OTAs.
"However at that point things didn't go that extraordinary in 2010 and 11 and 12. Furthermore, you know what he began doing? I will be once again at OTAs. I will get somewhat better. We want this. That is where, just from the football stance, I simply don't get it. I don't in any way shape or form."
All things considered, Ravens group president Sashi Brown told WBAL Radio, "Willful means deliberate. Lamar's been out working this offseason … so no, I think no excuse for caution."
Jackson likewise tweeted this a couple of days prior.
Friday morning, Lamar Jackson answered on Twitter to Chris Simms' interpretation of him not going to the Ravens OTAs this year.
"Lamar needs to be Lamar Chris [sic]," Jackson tweeted. "This piece of OTAs is Voluntary my Guy I will be there, only not on your watch it's likely other QBs not going to Voluntary OTAs either however since it's Lamar it's a gigantic arrangement. Find another thing to discuss."
