The Yellow Jackets went 1-7 under Wadley after he took over following the abdication of Brian Alred in September.

Wadley was at first recruited as the strength and molding mentor in January of 2021. He didn't return a call from the Gadsden Times for input.

Glencoe went 1-9 last season and will look for its fourth mentor since Lee Ozmint drove the group to a 9-2 imprint and the second round of the end of the season games in 2015.

Tinker said the quest for another mentor would start right away.

"I will take as much time as is needed and ideally view as the right one," Tinker said.

Glencoe is booked to start its season out and about against Weaver on Aug. 26.

It is the second Etowah County football instructing position that opened up this week. Quality Hill ventured down as the Sardis football trainer following 11 years.
