Auerbach's progression father bought the burger shack where he worked and resided.

Tommy's has developed from that point forward. Today, Tommy's has 34 areas and has turned into a Los Angeles symbol, in a city loaded with them.
"Genuinely we've been having celebrities come to Tommy's for a really long time," Auerbach said. "Elizabeth Taylor adored Tommy burgers."
Reid once told the LA Times that Tommy's burgers are "great for you joints" and that the oil "keeps you lubed up, man."
Auerbach said the bean stew is his unmistakable fixing.
"It warms you up, man. It resembles your grill out there in KC," Auerbach said.
Reid has been known to send his Tommy's burgers from L.A. The whole way to Kansas City.
"We have sent it to England, in actuality," Auerbach said. "We had a young fellow who was flying planes over in England who experienced childhood in the United States and his folks astonished him by transportation a gallon of bean stew."
The main thing better than a shipment or a yell out would be a visit, Auerbach said.
"We present a royal welcome for each client," he said. "Be that as it may, assuming Andy Reid appears, I'll by and by make him a cheeseburger, a triple quarter-pounder. That is a stomach buster."
