An arrangement to sell fake Patrick Mahomes Super Bowl rings has been defeated … federal authorities just declared they held onto a lot of phony K.C. Bosses title bling in a gigantic bust in Louisville.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection declared Monday that officials blocked a bundle that they say contained a little fortune-worth of phony Mahomes merchandise as well as other fake games memorabilia.
As indicated by the CBP, the bundle - which came from China and was making a beeline for Florida - contained 30 phony Tampa Bay Buccaneers Super Bowl rings, 110 phony Atlanta Braves World Series rings, 10 phony Milwaukee Bucks NBA title rings and 80 phony Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl rings.
In a photograph of a portion of the seized "adornments" … you can see Mahomes' name was engraved on a portion of the merchandise, alongside his number and the words "Bosses Kingdom."
The CBP said altogether, the bundle was valued at $345,000.
Obviously, interferences like these have become ordinary … indeed, back in January, federal authorities say they held onto 56 shipments of 1,382 phony games titles and prizes, assessed to be worth around $1 million had they ended up being genuine.
