MINNEAPOLIS - Award-winning games correspondent Michele Tafoya says she's formally leaving NBC Sports in the wake of showing up uninvolved one final time for Super Bowl LVI.

Tafoya, who calls Minnesota home, said on a phone call with correspondents Tuesday that the choice to leave the organization and the sidelines was completely hers and has been underway for several years.

"My experience with NBC Sports has been the most fulfilling of my vocation. I've had the favorable luck of working together with a group that is among awesome at how they treat, the help I've gotten in this position has been unmatched," Tafoya said in an assertion.

Tayfoya started her games profession in 1993, and in 2011 took on a conspicuous sidelines presence with NBC Sports and Sunday Night Football.
