Two world speed records have been broken by an all-electric airplane worked by Rolls-Royce, the BBC revealed.

The Spirit of Innovation hit a normal of 555.9 km/h (345.4 mph) more than 3 km, and 532.1km/h (330 mph) north of 15 km, in November 2021. The World Air Sports Federation has confirmed both trial endeavors as records.

Rolls-Royce depicted it as a "incredible accomplishment".

Supported by the UK government, the task falls under the Accelerating the Electrification of Flight project.
