Oakland High School (TN) champion running back Jordan James is formally an Oregon Duck.

James, who recently limited his colleges of decision to Georgia, Florida and Oregon, marked his National Letter of Intent on National Signing Day, flagging the start of his Pac-12 Conference venture in the green and yellow.

"It was an extended, distressing interaction, yet I settled on the best decision," James said after a marking service on the Oakland High School grounds. "Oregon was the best fit for me."

The 5-foot-10 inch, 200-pound James helped lead the Eagles to the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) Class 6A crown in December, scrambling for 232 yards on 27 conveys to combine with a couple of scores in transit to a 43-26 triumph over Summit. Furthermore, he brought home BlueCross Bowl Class 6A MVP praises for the second back to back year.

Oregon Head Coach Dan Lanning said every one of the enlisted people in the Class of 2022 fits the Duck measures.

"Ability first, yet not just," he said. "They must have incredible person. I believe that is truly important...Guys we bring into the storage space. The sort of folks we need to assemble our group around. They should have the option to lead and be dynamic."

James, who ran for 1,653 yards, arrived at the midpoint of 8.8 yards per convey and observed the end zone multiple times during Oakland's title crusade, shared an assortment of purposes behind his affection for what's happening in Eugene.

"I love the mentors," he said. "They worked really hard of enrolling me and I love the offices. Mentor Lanning worked really hard, focusing on me in the class."

James said contributing immediately stays an objective.

"I need to have a prompt effect, yet like all things, you need to work for it," he said. "It won't be given to me."

Since the enlisting system is in the books, James offered the accompanying exhortation to the people who might be considering how to explore the procedures:
