Stars' forward Joe Pavelski is in Las Vegas with other NHL champions this end of the week subsequent to being chosen to the NHL All-Star Game.
Pavelski was a member in Friday night's "Abilities Competition," showing up in a new-to-2022, blackjack-themed challenge where he and four other All-Stars remained on Las Vegas Boulevard and terminated a road hockey puck at a mass of larger than usual playing a card game. The objective was to get as near 21 in the least number of shots.
He contended with Colorado's Nazem Kadri, Toronto's Auston Matthews, Tampa Bay's Steven Stamkos, and Ottawa's Brady Tkachuk.
What's more it just so happens, Joe Pavelski is awesome at blackjack. The NHL's variant, in any event.
Pavelski wrecked consecutive blackjacks by labeling ace-ruler and ace-sovereign combos in four sequential shots, then, at that point, nailed a sovereign to prevail upon the high-card sudden death round Stamkos, who hit a four to seal Pavelski's success.
The 37-year-old Pavelski is perhaps the most seasoned player chose to the 2022 All-Star Game and was named the skipper of the Central Division group. It's his subsequent vocation All-Star choice, having played in the game in the 2013-14 season while with the Sharks.
