Director: Mt. Lovely Will Receive Support Following Fatal Accident

Following the unfortunate loss of an understudy at Mt. Charming High School, Maury County Public Schools Superintendent Michael Hickman said the school locale's authority immediately assembled to help the school, it understudies, workforce and the local area.

Mt. Charming High School understudy Josiah Fisher, 17, capitulated to wounds after a "custom made bike" he was riding collided with a school expanding on Wednesday, Jan. 26.

Following the crash, Fisher was moved by helicopter to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, the school locale affirmed.

Following Fisher's demise, guides were dispatched to the grounds to help understudies, staff and families deprived at the school, as per the school locale.

During the current month's educational committee meeting, Hickman said Lisa Ventura, the school area's head of exceptional populaces and her staff assembled rapidly to help the school.

"Minutes after it occurred, they were getting the things they required and sending individuals and backing to the spots that they should have been sent," Hickman said.

"They functioned admirably into the night to ensure that the understudies and the staff were being upheld. They ensured that we had individuals on the ground."

Mt. Wonderful High School Principal Ryan Jackson shared that Giles County Sheriff Kyle Helton and Kirk Shepard, a pioneer at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, an interdenominational Christian games service, talked with understudies at the school this week.

Jackson said the two local area pioneers addressed the understudies about handling and living through misfortune.

The chief said the two common "strong words established in strong encounters of their own."
