ROTTERDAM: Top-cultivated Stefanos Tsitsipas mobilized beyond a qualifier at the Rotterdam hard-court indoor competition to arrive at his first last since the French Open last June.

Tsitsipas finished Czech qualifier Jiri Lehecka's controlled by 4-6, 6-4, 6-2. He will confront Felix Auger-Aliassime in Sunday's last after the third seed returned from one put down to beat reigning champ Andrey Rublev.

Tsitsipas was made to work for almost two hours by the 137th-positioned Lehecka, who recently irritated Denis Shapovalov.

ARGENTINA OPEN: Top-cultivated players Casper Ruud and Diego Schwartzman will play in Sunday's last in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The Norwegian Ruud, the eighth best positioned player, and the Argentinian Schwartzman, the fifteenth best player, won the 2020 and 2021 versions of the dirt court competition, separately.

Ruud beat Argentinian Federico Delbonis 6-3, 6-3 on Saturday. Hours after the fact, Schwartzman bested third-cultivated player Lorenzo Sonego of Italy in a strained match by 7-5, 3-6, 6-2.

Schwarztman had completed only a couple of hours sooner his quarterfinal tie against his countryman and 2021 next in line Francisco Cerundolo. The match was interfered with Friday night in the third set, tied 1-1, because of downpour.

Schwartzman won 3-6, 6-2, 7-5.
