ONE of my cherished evenings of the year came early when Paul Carrack visited the Pavilion on his Good and Ready visit to go with the most recent collection One on One.

Having gotten no less than one show on each visit throughout the course of recent years or so I realized we were in for an extraordinary evening.

What makes me want more? I could say it is that heartfelt voice or those awesome soul-filled tunes or a band that are so close you were unable to get a cigarette paper between them yet to be straightforward it is no single thing.

Each time I have been to a Paul Carrack gig it has been similar to entering an air pocket where everything is similarly as it ought to be.

From Paul and the band to the sound and light show through different individuals from the group I visit to nobody appears to put a foot wrong. Also this evening it was the same.

Swarm most loved Tempted put in an early appearance as did Eyes of Blue and the delicate That's All That Matters To Me expounded on his girl.

An excellent form of Love Will Keep Us Alive ended up being one of the features of the evening for me.

This was immediately trailed by You Are Not Alone from One on One, which gave the main blip of the evening as it expected a restart because of failed to remember verses. A front of Charlie Rich's Behind Closed Doors gave another feature.

Every one of the artists in front of an audience had the open door to exhibit their singular gifts showing that a man of Paul's abilities can draw in musicians who are likewise in their prime.

Obviously, it is the most famous hits that drew the best response. The Living Years actually sends a chill down my spine notwithstanding having heard it multiple times. What an extraordinary evening of amusement from an incredible vocalist/musician with an incredible band and team behind him. Everybody both on the stage and in the group appeared to live it up so hopefully it isn't excessively well before Paul rolls once again into town, and when he ensures you come. A show not to be missed.
